Kenya: Kieni DC Bans Alcohol Sale in Plastic Bottles

KIENI West DC Abdi Mohammed has banned the sale of all plastic packed alcohol in the district. Mohammed, who was speaking during a meeting with over 100 bar owners from Mweiga area, said the law is very clear that from August all alcohol packed in plastic bottles will not be sold. The DC, who was accompanied by Nyeri Police boss Kirunya Limbitu, warned those found selling the alcohol in plastic containers that they will be arrested and charged in court. Source
