Unions fight First Uranium, Sappi cuts

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM)ËsÀ kenny.marshallà£äí<íøíÿÿxÁ› yesterday urged First Uranium yesterday to fire its chief executive rather than retrench its workers after the company announced on Monday that it might lay off up to 1 800 mineworkers at its Ezulwini gold and uranium mine, due to a shortfall in production.
