EU leaders lack people skills to win crisis votes

Politicians need to get out a bit more, EU politicians in particular. It can only be a lack of contact with citizens – as opposed to other politicians, EU civil servants and bankers – that makes German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy believe that they have crafted a solution to the euro’s problems.
