South Africa: Fighting Poverty - the NDP, ANC and a Political Big Beast

[African Arguments] Over the years, the South African government has released a plethora of strategies and initiatives in its post-apartheid policy reforms. Many of these recommendations and programmes have evidenced middling success, and even outright failure. The latest such proposal is the National Development Plan, issued by the National Planning Commission of South Africa, an advisory body in the Office of the Presidency with a 5 year mandate. Source
