Liberia: Confirmation Proceedings Kick Off Today

Heritage (Monrovia)-The Liberian Senate will today, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 begin confirmation proceedings of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf's cabinet nominees. According to the Director of Press of the Senate, Mr. Jallawa Tonpou, the Senate's confirmation proceedings will commence during the morning hours, with Agriculture Minister designate, Florence Chenowheth appearing before the Senate Committees on Agriculture and Forestry in the Joint Chambers of the Capitol Building-the seat of the Legislature.
