Nigeria: Labour Announces 2-Day Break From Protests

Leadership (Abuja)-The labour movement and its civil society allies after nationwide consultations on Friday have decided that Saturday and Sunday will be observed as strike, protest and rally-free days to enable the National Executive Council (NEC) of the two labour centers in the country, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) meet and re-strategise for next week, should President Goodluck Jonathan refuse to listen to the popular demands of Nigerians.
