Liberia: Senators Locked in Race for Leadership

Analyst (Monrovia)-The Liberian Senate, by law, comprises two coequal legislators from each of the nation’s 15 counties. Not only does each senator have one vote in legislative matters (the Senate operates by majority vote), each senator is immune from prosecution for views expressed or actions taken in session.
