Nigeria: Mr President, Assent PWD Bill

Nasarawa State governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and Senator Bode Olajumoke led a large number of persons with disabilities (PWDs), recently, on a peaceful protest against the delay in signing the PWD Bill by President Goodluck Jonathan. The bill, which was introduced in the National Assembly in 2008, has been passed since 2010, after a harmonisation process by the House of Representatives and the Senate. Source
