Liberia: Ellen Dismisses MICAT Boss

Information Minister Cletus A. Sieh has been relieved of his position by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf with immediate effect. According to an Executive Mansion statement, Minister Sieh was dismissed Saturday, December 24, for his indiscretion in the manner he handled security information relating to disturbances over the weekend by vacation job students. The Students staged two days (Thursday and Friday) of violent demonstration in Monrovia and its immediate environs demanding payment of their wages. Source
