Nigeria: Laurent Gbagbo and the ICC

Former president of Cote d'Ivoire, Mr Laurent Gbagbo, earlier this month appeared at the International Criminal Court to answer to charges of crimes against humanity. He is the first ex- head of state to be arraigned before the ICC since it was established in 2002 by the Rome Statute. Source
