Africa: Progress Is Being Made Say UN Climate Change Leaders

United Nations climate change leaders today expressed confidence that progress has been - and will be - made by governments of the world in talks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. China released a statement at midday declaring its readiness to support a second period of commitment to the Kyoto Protocol - the only binding international agreement on curbing the dangerous gases which are starting to disrupt the global climate system.
