Uganda: MPs Should Stop Plan to Gag Press

It has been an interesting week. First, President Museveni attacked the 1995 Constitution, saying the oversight powers it gives Parliament over the Executive undermines his efforts to defeat poverty, darkness, corruption, diseases, unemployment etc. Secondly, for the fifth straight year, this week, we received awful news that Uganda continued to score badly on corruption, according to the latest world ranking on perception of graft levels in countries around the globe.
