Uganda: Letters Link Museveni to Businessman's Cash Claims
Former Attorney General Khiddu Makubuya yesterday tabled fresh evidence before Parliament's Public Accounts Committee implicating State House in the payment of compensation claims to city businessman Hassan Basajjabalaba. Prof. Makubuya, also a minister for General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, told PAC that it was President Museveni who ordered the cancelation of Basajjabalaba's market deals and later instructed him to revise the figure from Shs131.7 billion to Shs142.6 billion.
