Nigeria: Real Reasons Senate Wants Privatised Companies Revoked

Four months after it was inaugurated, the Senate ad-hoc committee on the investigation of the privatisation and commercialisation activities of the Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE) chaired by Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan (ANPP, Yobe North) finally submitted its report to the Senate on Tuesday 22nd, November, 2011. The committee recommended among other things the revocation of most privatised government companies and that the present Director General of the BPE, Ms Bolanle Onagoruwa should be sacked. Our Source
