Uganda: 300,000 Homeless After Landslides

OVER 300,000 people in the Mount Elgon region and the neighbouring lowlands of Butaleja, Budaka and Tororo districts have been displaced following the landslide that devastated Bududa in eastern Uganda last week, the state minister for relief and disaster preparedness, Musa Ecweru, said yesterday.
